Are you called to a life of Missions?
"THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT" 1 Peter 2:9
They see Christians as idol-worshiping colonizers. You see them as committed Muslims. For hundreds of years you have been enemies. But you must have compassion for them. They have a false Jesus, a false God, and a false scripture. Six million of your Filipino neighbors trapped by the Devil in darkness.
Who is your neighbor? How will they be rescued?
What is it they need? The Good News. How can one best love their neighbor? Bring them salvation. How do you bring them salvation? Teach them everything Jesus commanded. How does one do this? Build strong Bibles centered churches. This is the way. This is the way of Jesus and the Apostles.
To do this, they need the Word in accurate and readable Bible translations and Bible training materials in their language. To do that we need well equipped Bible translators, Evangelists, Apologists and Polemicists, Mercy Ministry Leaders, and Church Planters.
Love your neighbor... Bring them the Word...
Are you called to a life of Missions?
Are you called to battle the darkness that keeps your neighbor in bondage?
Men wanted…
For a hazardous journey in faithful service to our Master,
to wrestle against the principalities and cosmic powers of darkness
that keep millions in bondage.
Prospect faces bitter opposition and rejection,
decades of darkness,
and constant danger.
Short term success doubtful.
Guarantee of victory upon return of the Master.

"...WE ARE READY TO PAY ANY PRICE TO PRESERVE THE WORD OF GOD....DON'T GIVE WAY, DON'T COMPROMISE!" Wang Ming Dao
At Doulos Missions Institute, your Bible is your primary textbook. God's word is the foundation of all ministry. It is by proclaiming and preaching God's word that strong churches are planted. Therefore, we saturate the Novice students in the Word of God, the local story, the meta-narrative, the doctrine. For it is by the Word of God that any are saved.
Learn a Vocation for Missions
Like the Apostle Paul, we believe that having a vocation, a profession, can enable effective church planting and assist with cross-cultural missions. To this end, we have partnered with CHED accredited online degree programs along side DMI training (for qualified students).
"THE MOTTO FOR EVERY MISSIONARY... OUGHT TO BE 'DEVOTED FOR LIFE.'" Adoniram Judson
The Apprenticeship model of training has a rich history dating back to ancient Egypt. This was the way that Masters of all professions were developed. We use this model to train and raise up missionaries for life.
-
Novice
Foundation & Preparation
The Novice enters the life of preparation for church planting. Their knowledge and character are founded in the basics of the Bible and missions. The Apprentice is then sent out to be mentored in real world environments. Pastors and cross-cultural missionaries mentor them to prepare them for independent work. They learn the languages and foundations of Missions.
-
Journeyman
Field Work & Advanced Training
Graduating from DMI, the Apprentice is now a Journeyman. Alongside advanced training in Missions at DMI, and upon receiving the call from their church, they will join with a Church Planting Team, develop a ministry plan, and deeply learn the language and culture. Then, they will start the work of planting a Church while earning their Masters Degree.
-
Master
Leadership & Multiplication
But to truly become a Master, the Journeyman will plant a church, and write a research paper on the process, challenges, and lessons learned, and present and defend it at DMI. Then as Masters they will train and mentor the next generation of Novices, Apprentices, and Journeymen.
"You will always find that the men who God has signally used or have been used have studied the most, known their scriptures the best, and given time to preparation. The spirit generally uses a man's best preparation. It's not the spirit or preparation, it's the preparation plus the anointing that the Holy Spirit alone can supply." Ian Murray
"YOU WILL NEVER MAKE A MISSIONARY OF THE PERSON WHO DOES NO GOOD AT HOME. HE THAT WILL NOT SERVE THE LORD... AT HOME, WILL NOT WIN ANY TO CHRIST [IN THE MISSIONS FIELD]..." Charles Spurgeon
Last Question... Are you faithful? Are you Called?
Do your Elders or Pastors and fellow believers recognize that? Are they willing to pray for you daily and be your Bayanihan in this? If so, explore our programs and see what we are preparing for you.
How much preparation and training do you need for the hardest places and the hardest people? First, you need to know your Bible, story and doctrine, deeply. Your mind and speech must be saturated with scripture. Then you need life skills, academics, teamwork, leadership, management, arts, character development, cross-cultural skills, a vocational degree or certification, and then practice, practice, practice. At DMI we train for that to prepare deeply to produce the future Filipino missions pioneers and leaders...
